For me, color inspiration is everywhere, especially in nature. I take frequent photos, and often draw from them in my work. The colors of my favorite places appear frequently in my designs.

Maine

I lived for a while in Maine, a place of immense natural beauty. In addition to the rich blues and greens of water and forest, the snowy winter landscape offers every shade imaginable of white and gray, and in summer the rocky coastline displays an amazing variety of muted neutrals.

New Mexico

I’ve had family in New Mexico for almost 40 years, and on visits I’m always awed by the infinite variety of spice tones in its desert landscapes, and the brilliant turquoise of its skies.
